So as you can see from the headline, were ranking Disney animated movies again. Now I know I have technically done Top 10 list with Disney animated films but I didn’t use my full opinion and used many other opinions and just picked 10 films. But they were chosen with love and deserved to be on the list. But I thought hey I love Disney and the animation movie genre and I have seen many people rank all the Walt Disney Animated films and I thought I might as well do it too. But I want to be real and honest with you all with all of these films. I want to rank them with my honest opinion and I’m not going to lie I feel like my opinions will make a few people upset, some might even feel like I’m crazy. And here is what I think of that, I don’t care. It’s my list and ranking for all of these films so you can agree or not but in the end we had a fun time reading this huge list. Now I have only seen 90% of these Disney films so any film I haven’t seen I will put with asterisks and put those films before the worst films. I can rank them with what I know of them but I rather just put them in some capacity. I also haven’t seen some of these films in a while but I will be fully honest with these rankings in my knowledge watching them and if I enjoyed them or not. Also I am only including the 60 theatrical feature films under Walt Disney Animated Studios so any film under the Disney brand that came out in theaters or straight to VHS/DVD films will not count. There are 60 movies, so of m typing this, that have come out and well strap in we are going for a long ride. I never think I would be able to make this list so I’m confident that I can do it. I mean I must be confident it literally is on my website and you are reading this for a reason. Alright let’s get this ranking going and let’s Rank all the Walt Disney Animation Studios Films
Ranking Every Walt Disney Studios Animation Studios Films

60. Saludos Amigos* - I am sure I have seen a clip or two from this movie somehow but other than that knowledge I have never seen the film in my life. The film has four segments, which star both Donald Duck and Goofy and an introduction to Jose Carioca, the Brazilian parrot. I don’t think I have any interest to watch the film, but if I ever do I might enjoy a couple of the segments, especially the one with Goofy because he is one of my favorite characters in Disney’s history.

59. Make Mine Music* - I have never seen this movie and I have no plan on watching it either. It’s another musical anthology film from Disney and I’m not going to lie I never heard of this movie growing up. Like I said I don’t plan on watching the film but I also have read that it has mixed reviews from critics and it also isn’t a really well known Disney film.

58. Melody Time* – Another Anthology Musical film, never seen it but I believe I have seen a couple of segments on other types of Disney media. So I have seen some capacity of the film but other than that I really have no interest at this point to watch the film.

57. The Sword in the Stone* - I don’t recall watching this movie. This is one of Disney’s most animated films and I know of the film, I know the plot, a good amount of the characters but I don’t remember if I ever watch the film or not. I don’t have much to say about this one cause I don’t know for sure if I watched it but for what it is worth I am willing to give it a viewing one day so I can give better feedback in the future. Until then it can’t be fully ranked.

56. The Black Cauldron* - I never seen this film but I know that it is one of Disney’s darkest films. It is the first Disney animated film to receive a PG rating and the first Disney animated film to be feature computer generated imagery. The film is a cult classic film at this point as it was a box office bomb and critically mixed but has found a following over the years. I wouldn’t mind watching this film. It has an interesting plot and I would like to see why it found such a huge following after it came out on home media in 1998.

55. Brother Bear* - I mean I was never interested to see the film when it first came out and over the years my feelings feel the same. Yeah it stars Joaquin Phoenix and yeah it was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature film but from what I have heard about it I really don’t think I will ever watch it unless something changes with my feelings towards it in the future. Some call this film very underrated but only time will tell if I can fully agree. But hey at least we got Phil Collins in the soundtrack and Rick Moranis’ final feature film in his career so I guess there is some positive things about it.

54. Frozen* – Nope! I love the ride in Epcot but other than that I can’t stand this film. I couldn’t stand it when my sister watched this movie and sang Let It Go every time, couldn’t stand it when it overshadowed Big Hero 6 and I hate didn’t care about it when it first came out. The movie is overrated and I don’t care what people think about this opinion.

53. Frozen 2* – Same thing here I don’t care to watch this movie and I heard it wasn’t even that good. Honestly don’t expect me to watch either of the Frozen films and I know I’m being pretty anal about it but they are just not for me.

52. Home on the Range – Alright, let’s start the rankings with the worst movie in Disney’s history. I have seen this movie a few times and each time I try and give it a chance and each time I just hate it even more. A story about three cows trying to capture a cattle rusher so they can save their farm is honestly lame. The main three cows are just annoying and bicker so much. I can’t get invested into this story of these three cows trying to save their farm, pretty much their home, while they just bicker at each other all the time. I’m rooting for the one dimensional villain at this point. The animation is pretty good but that doesn’t help the fact that this was the final traditional animated film for Disney for multiple years. This film pretty much killed traditional animation for the company. The story is lame, the characters are unlikeable and it’s just not good.

51. Pocahontas – This is going to be controversial and I’m ready to be bashed. Yeah I don’t care about this movie. The animation and music is great, can’t argue with anyone with that, but I don’t really like this movie. The story feels bland; it’s a very boring movie if you ask me. The characters aren’t all that memorable with exception to Pocahontas, but even so she feels forgettable too. I only really care for this movie when it was a part of Fantasmic in Disney World and even then I just didn’t care much for it. Thankfully they are replacing it with better films. But regardless the film as a whole is just boring to me and the only watchable thing about this film is the animation and “Colors of the Wind”. Also Mel Gibson is in this movie, I hate that man with a passion. That’s not a reason why this film is bad but I just wanted to say that. This film will most likely get a live action adaptation and if it does please make it better. But it probably won’t be better and will just be…well trash.

50. The Rescuers Down Under – Honestly I forget this film came out during Disney’s Renaissance Era. I have only seen the film a couple of times and it’s also been a long time since I have seen it so here is my honest thoughts about the film: I don’t care for it. It’s not a bad film and it is honestly better than anything on this ranking list so far but for me I couldn’t find any interest after the first viewing. I guess it’s why I only seen the film a couple of times. It’s cool that the film brought back its original main voice actors for the roles of Bernard (Bob Newhart) and Miss Bianca (Eva Gabor), but other than that nothing in this really impresses me. Would I watch it again one day, maybe if it happens but other than these thoughts I really don’t care for this film nor do I have interest for it anymore.

49. Fantasia 2000 – This film is mediocre compared to the 1st Fantasia. Honestly I only seen this film I think one time and I never really cared for it back then too. I was younger and didn’t like the film and from there I just lost interest for it. The animation and musical scores are good and it is pretty cool to be known as the first animated feature to be presented in IMAX. While that is very impressive, the film was still considered a box office bomb as it barely made any of the budget money back in the box office. Does that make the movie bad, well no but is it worth the watch, I don’t think so. If you liked Fantasia then maybe you might want to see this film. I have seen the scenes on YouTube recently and I honestly just didn’t feel anything emotionally or interesting in general with the film. It’s too bad because its predecessor is ten times better and it must be really hard to outdo a film like Fantasia. But for me this film is just a mediocre and not really worth my time. Still a decent film though.

48. Dinosaur – The animation back in 2000 for this film was impressive but we are in 2022 and the animation didn’t live up well and it looks not good anymore in my opinion. Also the story isn’t all that great and it took me a while to watch this movie. I remember first seeing this film in theaters when it first came out and ten minutes in I ran out of the theater scared. I guess I had PTSD thanks to this movie but I somehow still loved Dinosaurs and Jurassic Park years later so go figure. The main bad dinosaur, the Carnotaurus, is one scary looking dinosaur but it is no T-Rex. At least the Animal Kingdom ride is awesome and has a better story than this film. Other than that I don’t think this film is worth it. It’s sort of watchable but from the characters to the story, it is not memorable.

47. Chicken Little – I have a love/hate relationship with this movie. I always would watch this movie as a kid because it was constantly on. I’m not kidding it was in the doctor’s office every freaking time I went to the doctor. It also was on ABC Family/FreeForm/Starz/Disney Channel all the time and I was a kid so if it was on I was watching it. But now that I am older and wiser and know what a good film is I can finally say this film is not that good. The animation is okay but the character designs for most of these characters are ugly. It’s kind of distracting if you ask me to watch this film and get invested with these very unusual looking characters. Not saying all of them are ugly looking but the ones that are, they distract me. Also they are all annoying. The story of a boy who sees something and no one believes him, pretty much The Boy Who Cried Wolf, is kind of getting old. The voice acting is meh and the story is bland. But I have some enjoyment for the film, not a whole lot but a good percentage. It’s not as bad as the other films so far but it’s not really that good either.

46. Winnie the Pooh – Technically this is the last hand drawn animated film from Disney but it just feels forgotten to be honest. Even I sometimes forget that Disney made another Winnie the Pooh animated film back in 2011. I remember watching the film with my sister and it just doesn’t seem enjoyable to me compared to other Winnie the Pooh films/shows. Like The Tigger Movie to me was a more enjoyable film and I’m surprised that movie wasn’t under Walt Disney Animation Studios as I would have counted it for this ranking but Not to say that it isn’t a good movie as it is but for me I didn’t care for it much and it really didn’t leave me with anything new to the character or story of Winnie the Pooh. Still a solid movie though.

45. The Rescuers – Maybe I’m just not that all into the Rescuers but it’s not a film that I can say I enjoy and would want to watch. It’s a very good film but I just can’t remember much from it. I last saw the film when I was a kid but I was also never that into the film. I watched a few clips from the film to get a better memory of the film and I just really couldn’t get into what I was watching. Plus I feel like the characters in general aren’t memorable and it sucks cause this movie was the first Disney movie to get a sequel, The Rescuers Down Under, so you would expect it to be a more memorable film and in my opinion it just a forgettable film that is kind of underrated but it also came out in the reviving times of Disney so I can see why it is kind of forgotten. Still a decent film that I wouldn’t mind returning back to and checking out again when the time comes.

44. The Three Caballeros – Other than the fact that we got this amazing trio and a future cute Disney ride in Epcot, not a big fan of the movie and really don’t think it did much for Disney or in animation in general. I think musically it is pretty good, nothing that is out of this world but it’s better than what you expect. Personally I would rather watch this over the other films because I love Donald Duck but also I love that they mix live action scenes with animated scenes. Like I said I’m not the biggest fan of the film but for what it is worth it is something different that contains both animation and live action.

43. Bolt – You might be thinking Steve you are freaking crazy for having this movie so low and I might be but after my first viewing of Bolt when I was a kid to watching it years ago to now when I am a bit older, I can tell you the film really doesn’t do much for me. Bolt has a cool story, the characters are okay but there is nothing in this film that I can look back at and say I enjoyed that a lot and I find it to be something amazing. I will give the movie credit to being a part of the 2nd revival of Disney but other than that it’s not a film I will go out of my way and watch. If it’s on T.V and there is nothing on then sure I will watch it.

42. Bambi – I’m about to get a lot of hate for having this movie so low, considering it is one of the greatest animated movies ever but I’m not all that into the film. I think it has great animation and musical scores but after the first act of this film it kind of just bores me or loses my interest. It’s not a bad thing and I can’t fully say I wouldn’t watch the film again as it’s a classic and I would hate myself if I didn’t being the Disney nerd I am. Regardless this film has my appreciation but it’s not the film that I look out for to watch if I am going to have a Disney movies marathon. Sorry about your mom Bambi but after she get shot the film just loses me and then I just care less about her getting shot.

41. Alice in Wonderland – I honestly find this movie to be a bit overrated. I mean don’t get me wrong I love the animation but I’m not really invested into most of the characters, the story seems a bit silly and the Queen of Hearts is honestly a Karen lol. I’m just kidding but she isn’t a huge threatening villain as she just your normal higher power who biggest threat is to pretty much say “Off with his head”. She also isn’t introduced to us until later on which isn’t a bad thing but it’s a big nip pick for me. Maybe it was my hatred for the live action film that makes me feel like this but I never cared for the film as much when I was younger.

40. Sleeping Beauty – Other than Maleficent and the animation, which still looks pretty good to this day if I may add, I’m not the biggest fan of the film. Princess Aurora is such a forgettable princess like out of all the princesses in Disney. The plot is pretty basic and the story is as well, I just wish I was more invested into the characters more because other than Maleficent none of the characters are interesting. I don’t know about you but if I can’t be invested into the characters then I can’t’ care much for the movie because the characters and their stories make the film interesting. Like Maleficent is an iconic villain like she is a threat, she has such great characteristics for her character and she becomes a dragon. Everything else aside from the animation is pretty basic to me and is just okay. Nothing fancy in this film that is going to get me to get out of bed, grab a bowl of cereal and put on Disney Plus to stream it in the living room.

39. The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad – Not going to lie this is where our turning point of the rankings begin and I actually watched this film recently since I have never watched it before 2021. That said I found it to be a fun time. Nothing that will make me say, oh my god lets go stream Ichabod and Mr. Toad, but it still was a fun little film. Now I understand the talk about this classic film and why it is praised so much. Sucks it is barely represented in the parks, other than a Disneyland ride and the Headless Horseman making an appearance during the fall season, but other than that the film has taken a back seat. Still the film in general was a good time. Wish I watched it when I was younger.

38. Fun and Fancy Free – Believe it or not I actually liked this film as a child. I owned it on VHS and watched it a lot as a child. Not like some of my favorite Disney films but still I watched it a good amount to say I liked it as a child. As I grown older I wasn’t watching it or caring to watch it as much but I appreciated the film still. It’s a really cute film that stars Mickey, Goofy, Donald and Jiminy Cricket but it also has a ventriloquist and a segment of a bear named Bongo, which I found to be a pretty interesting segment. It was a fun film and while I don’t watch it as much today it still is a fun watch.

37. 101 Dalmatians – You want to know how bankable 101 Dalmatians is, the budget of the film is $3.6 million and it made over $300 million in the box office. The film made 100 times its budget, like that’s impressive. Had that happened today we would be looking at anywhere from a $700 million to $1 billion dollar film in the box office. Now the film as a whole is pretty good. I’m not the biggest fan of Cruella de Vil, nothing wrong with her but I don’t find her as a big threat, but I acknowledge how iconic she is and she pretty much makes the success of the film. The animation is good, the music in the film is pretty good and most of the characters are pretty interesting. Not much for me to say as this is your basic Disney animated film with a pretty simple plot and story but it is still enjoyable.

36. The Jungle Book – I am conflicted with this movie. I like the film as a whole and think it is a classic Disney movie, but I also don’t think it’s as great as everyone says it is. Don’t get me wrong the film is a classic and is one of Disney best films, it’s highly praised by many and some say it’s their favorite Disney film, but I find the film to be just good. I love the CGI/ live action version a lot more. The songs in the films are okay, the characters are okay too and I don’t know why but am I the only one that thinks Shere Khan is kind of just a mediocre Disney villain. Don’t get me wrong he is a threatening villain but when I look at him I don’t see anything fancy about him. Maybe that’s just me but The Jungle Book is still a fun film to me and I would watch again if the time comes.

35. Ralph Breaks the Internet – I had this film in my top 10 list for 2018 but I have digressed a bit with my love for the film. It’s a pretty okay film with a plot and story that is stuck in a film with Disney product placement, destroying a pretty loveable character arc and adding nothing new to the animation studio. Now I like the film still and think it is pretty decent but I see the problems it does have. Ralph’s character kind of took a turn in this movie and his arc from the last one is basically ruined but at the same time I see where the direction is going with the film so I can also see where they wanted to go with the film. I like the Disney product placement but again it wasn’t needed. I might be ranking it a bit high but because I enjoyed it a lot I am placing it at least here because I know this film has some issues with fans or the Ralph franchise and Disney fans in general.

34. The Aristocats – I’m not going to lie, this movie is enjoyable. I forgot how good this movie was until I watched a couple of clips from the film. I remember watching this film as a kid and not caring so much about the characters but loving the music in the film. The characters are very interesting and the story is honestly pretty basic and simple for Disney standards but it works. I would watch this movie over The Jungle Book because I like the music more in this film, but that’s not saying much. The older I get the more I forget how underappreciated this film is today. It’s no classic movie like Jungle Book but it’s still a fun film to watch with the little ones or even with that special someone or hell ask Grandma if she is busy and go spend some time with her and watch the film together. The villain in this film is mediocre though. He doesn’t seem like a villain but more an angry character who just hates the cats, but hey to Disney standards anything with hate in its characteristics and towards the main character is pretty much the villain. Got nothing else to say but it is a pretty fun film.

33. Dumbo – I feel the hate from the ranking list from you all and I will say this loud and proud, Dumbo is a Disney classic and one of their greatest animated films ever, but to me it’s not the greatest thing ever. I love the story, I love Dumbo, the scenes with him and his mother are sad and depressing and will make you cry, but everything else is just okay. I was conflicted with this movie a bit because as a child I loved this film, but when I got a bit older I started to have a dislike for a good portion of the film. I feel like Dumbo today wouldn’t be a hit today with audiences and fans because it’s got an interesting plot within a basic story. I don’t dislike the film at all but I just think it would be forgotten in today’s standards. Still I find it to be a good film that like I said earlier is known as a Disney classic and one of their greatest animated films ever.

32. Cinderella – Boy am I really going down the drain for this one. I will not lie but I’m tired of seeing the whole Cinderella story today. The film has been lodged down our throats so many times within different films including 3 A Cinderella Story films, a 1997 adaptation starring Brandy and Whitney Huston, a live action adaptation from Disney that honestly is forgettable, there was one recently from Amazon that starred Camila Cabello, there was one in 1998 starring Drew Barrymore, honestly I can go on and on with this but my god I am tired of this story. I love the castle in Disney World, the original animated film was constantly on in my house thanks to my little sister when she was younger and the film as a whole is good. Just please let’s put this story to bed for a long time and stop making films for Cinderella.

31. Fantasia – Now look this is one of Disney’s highly profiled films that is a classic but also considered one of the greatest animated films ever. The music is charming, the animation is spectacular, the characters used in this movie are iconic and represented in the parks as best as possible, aka Mickey, the broomsticks and Chernabog. This is honestly a very good film, it’s long as hell and I believe is Disney’s longest film ever hitting over 2 hours but it is a film that pretty much shows the magic of Disney though animation and music. I would honesty rank this film higher, top 25 at best, but I have a lot of love for these next films to come on the ranking so I had no choice but to be honest with myself and place it here sadly.

30. The Hunchback of Norte Dome – We made the Top 30 folks, which isn’t a big deal yet but I actually cheated a bit. I wanted to re-watch Hunchback again because I felt like I would enjoy it more as an adult cause I hated it as a kid and I was completely right. It’s actually a pretty good film. I could of done this for every film, could of also watched the films that I never watched in general to really rank this list better, but my life as a whole now is already useless so why waste my time watching all those unrankable films that are on the bottom of the list and why not watch a pretty good film that is worth the watch. Hunchback had really great music, amazing animation and the villain, oh my god Judge Frollo is a piece of shit but he is such a good villain. But there were some flaws for the film for me. I couldn’t get invested with a couple of the characters, mostly the gargoyles as I hated them, but I also didn’t like a couple of songs as well. “Out There” and “Hellfire” were lit songs but every other song itself was just okay. The score in this movie however is honestly fire. I’m surprised this didn’t get a Broadway adaption yet because honestly I wouldn’t mind if it did. Just don’t make it a live action film Disney, please just keep this film away from live action remakes for you to just make more money.

29. Atlantis: The Lost Empire – This is one of Disney’s most underrated films. I love the film but I also notice the film’s flaws. The characters are so uninteresting but animation wise, story wise and world building wise, this film is incredible. Well the world building could of used a bit more; I still enjoyed what I got from the film. Disney should have also marketed the film better back in the day and should give this film a live action remake for sure. You can do a lot with this film as a whole and honestly I still will defend the film to this day saying it is great and deserves more love. I just wish the characters were developed better and were more interesting. Fingers crossed Disney actually tries to make a live action film for Atlantis and it gets more love when it does.

28. Raya and the Last Dragon – I consider this film to be one of the best films of 2021 and honestly it’s a really good film. The animation looks spectacular, the message/theme of the film is pretty unique and interesting, most of the characters are good but can use more time on screen and well I won’t be the last to say this but I wish the filmmakers showed more of the tribe’s worlds in the film. Each tribe felt interesting and I feel like we barely got to see what each tribe represented and the world they lived in. Wouldn’t mind revisiting this movie with a Disney Plus series in the future. Still this was a very good film from Disney that is worth the watch.

27. Lady and the Tramp – Honestly I think I appreciated this film more as an adult than as a child because my god this film is great. The animation is great, the characters and the character building in this film is great, the iconic scene of both Lady and Tramp eating spaghetti and meatballs is amazing as always and this film as a whole is just great. I think watching the live action adaptation in 2019 made me want to revisit the original animated film and plus I watched some of it in Disney World while dining in Tony’s Town Square Restaurant but I mean come on this film is awesome. I’m a sucker for dogs, sue me.

26. Oliver and Company – I mean I don’t understand why the film has a low Rotten Tomato score but Oliver and Company is one of Disney’s most underrated films. I love the representation of New York in the film, what’s up my fellow New Yorkers, I love the characters, I think the animation is pretty decent and the song “Why Should I Worry” by Billy Joel is one of the greatest Disney original songs ever. It’s got a pretty basic plot and story but I don’t care I loved this movie as a kid and I still love it to this day. Nothing will ever make me change my mind on how I feel about this movie and honestly people forget that it came out a year before the Renaissance Era.

25. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – I watched this movie about a hundred times in elementary school, I feel like a thousand times in my lifetime and honestly I’m happy this was one of the first few Disney movies I was introduced to as a kid because it is great. The animation in this film really holds up well today and the music in the film from the score to the original songs are classics. Considering this was Disney’s first feature length film, it still to this day holds up well. I love all seven dwarfs, the villain in the film is a classic as well, I honestly think this and feel like if it is done then they need to do this right but even though the story as a whole has been done so many times in so many different ways, I wouldn’t mind a live action adaption. Hear me out but wouldn’t it be great to get a decent live action adaption from a company that made the film iconic rather than a different company that destroyed the film and then made a terrible sequel of said film years later. I’m looking at you Kristen Stewart Snow White film.

24. Tangled – I really like this movie and honestly kind of had a crush on Rapunzel when it first came out. I had to been 13 or 14 at the time but I just thought she was pretty and loved her hair. I think the music is lovely, the animation is pretty good and the characters are all awesome, I just wish I had more love for Mother Gothel. I don’t like her character as a whole. She is an okay villain but I’m just not into her character as much and I don’t care much for her villain song. Already getting heat from that I know. This is my sister’s favorite Disney film and I think it doesn’t get appreciated as much as it started a new era for Disney films and could use more love than what it gets.

23. The Princess and the Frog – I watched this film for the first time in 2020 and thought holy shit I wish Disney went back to hand drawn animation because this was a great film. It’s not represented enough at the moment in the parks, that is until Splash Mountain gets refurbished to the Princess and the Frog ride, but at this moment I don’t see enough representation of the film in the parks other than a couple of stage shows, a meet and greet and the parades. I love the music in the film and I love the characters. I love the New Orleans representation as well in the film; it makes me want to visit New Orleans to be honest. I think the story was pretty unique too, even though it has a well known story as its plot but they use a Brothers Grimm tale and switch it around and make a very amazing movie out of it. Again I really loved this movie, more than I thought I would.

22. Meet the Robinsons – Another underrated Disney film that never got any representation in the parks or is barely talked about to this day. This film was the first film that brought back Disney’s legacy after the last few films flopped and were critical failures. While the film didn’t make much money back, it still was positively reviewed by critics and Disney fans. I really loved this movie as a kid and I watched it every time it was on TV or at home. I didn’t own the actual DVD but I had a pirated DVD and always watched it. To this day I still remember watching the trailer for the film and getting excited for it because this film looked interesting and seemed like it was going to be a smash hit. It wasn’t the biggest smash hit like other Disney classics but it still managed to be successful and be a freaking good film. I loved the characters for the film and loved how different each character was and I loved the whole Robinson family as a whole. I loved the villain and his background story and I loved that the twist they had for the villain as well. I also love the setting for the film because it feels so fresh and different compared to other Disney animated movies. It’s during the present day and then the future and the only films I could think of that felt modern, other than Oliver and Company, Lilo and Stitch and I guess Chicken Little. My one flaw for this movie is the animation. I’m not saying it is bad in any way but it looks a bit dated. Obviously it will considering this was Disney’s 3rd computer animated film and the first one where they animated humans so obviously it still in the early stages of getting better. The animation is still good though and doesn’t hurt the film in any way. This is such a great film that needs more love and appreciation to be honest.

21. Zootopia – I’m pretty shocked still that this won “Best Animated Feature” in the Oscars over Moana. That’s not saying that I don’t think it deserved it though as Zootopia is a really great film. We need more films like Zootopia for kids as it deals with some serious stereotypical issues that families aren’t teaching their kids about. Yes I said it, parents teach your kids about racism and stereotypes. Zootopia is a very great animated movie with a lot of fun characters. I love our two main characters, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, I thought they put this film on their backs and carried the film with its amazing story, great animation and powerful message. The other characters in the film were great as well and yeah the villain was pretty silly but it works and I didn’t mind it in the end. I’m kind of surprised that we never got anything big in the parks for the film yet or at least in Animal Kingdom. I’m hoping we do one day but baby steps. At least we are getting some sort of series on Disney Plus this year called Zootopia+. Tells me nothing about what it will be about but I wouldn’t mind re-visiting the Zootopia world. This film knew when to be funny and when to tone the comedy down and get real and serious. MCU take notes because this is a film that knows when to bring in comedy and not during serious/dramatic moments. I would not mind a sequel in the future Disney, only time will tell if we get one.

20. Encanto – I wrote a lot about why I love this film in my Top 10 Best Films of 2021 list and I plan on writing a review for the film soon so I will be a bit brief for what I have to say about the film. It was amazing and deserves a Broadway adaptation. I didn’t expect to love the film this much but man is this film so great. The themes and messages in the film is so powerful and the music, oh my god the music, the music is so great and I mean I’m not shocked just by looking at the man who wrote and produced them aka Mr. Lin-Manuel Miranda. Honestly this wasn’t my favorite animated movie for 2021 but if it wins the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature I would be fine with it. I’m really shocked in how high I am ranking this movie too but I feel confident in where I am ranking it as well.

19. The Fox and the Hound – Time to take out the tissues for this one. Man is this movie just depressing to watch sometimes. The Fox and the Hound is both a Disney classic and also underappreciated. I rarely hear or see people talk about this movie. The animation is fantastic and the characters are so incredible. I don’t care what people say but the friendship between Tod and Copper is heartbreaking and the scene where Tweed takes Tod to the forest and lets him go is so freaking sad. I didn’t’ cry as a kid because I was little and didn’t understand but I cry now for the scene. Ugh, this movie is so great and can really make you cry in multiple scenes. I kind of want to grab a tub of ice cream, tissues and snuggle up on the couch and watch the film and let out some tears.

18. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – I don’t understand how Winnie the Pooh isn’t the most marketable character in Disney history considering he has more shows/films than any other character besides the original Disney characters like Mickey, Donald and Goofy. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is a very great movie. This film also has a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. I loved this movie as a kid; my sister fell in love with Winnie the Pooh and has been obsessed with him because of this movie. I love each character in this film. Pooh is adorable and seems like he is a great friend to talk to, Piglet is adorable, Rabbit is a little bitch but I love him so much, Eeyore needs a hug man and can use some positivity in his life but I love him so much and then there is the best character, TIGGER. He’s bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, the wonderful thing about Tigger is he is the greatest character of the entire film. The animation is great but I also love how they transition the animation like it’s being read to us in a book. The film is based off the characters of the Winnie the Pooh books and I love how the animators made us feel like we are in the book by animating the book and pages in the film itself. Kind of feels like it breaks the 4th wall but also feels fresh and new compared to the other Disney films in the past.

17. Pinocchio – I mean this movie gave us Disney’s theme song and one of the most iconic characters in its entire history. Jiminy Cricket was honestly the 2nd mascot for Disney, shockingly that is the truth as he was a big part of the parks and in different types of media for Disney. And the song “When You Wish Upon a Star” has literally become Disney’s theme song for the entire company and you can’t go to any Disney park or watch any Disney movie without hearing the song. Now we can talk about the film and yes this film is extremely amazing. The animation and music in this film is fantastic, the characters are exciting and a joy to watch and I’m sorry but as a child I always loved to watch the film multiple times a day when I had it on the TV. As I grew older I began to realize how dark this film is as well and my god does this film get dark and scary, especially when we watch a young boy become a donkey. This movie also has a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. It also is one of the most profitable films in Disney’s history. The film took $2.6 million to make, the film made back 100 times more money back in the box office, $164 million. Sure that is nothing compared to films today and the amount of money they make but also you need to think about home media sales and this movie has been in and out of that Disney vault many times but still brought in millions in sales for the House of Mouse. This is honestly one of Disney’s greatest animated films and I would agree if someone called it the greatest film in Disney’s history.

16. Treasure Planet – Treasure Planet needs more love man, this film is freaking fantastic. Forget what haters say, Treasure Planet is a fantastic movie. From childhood to even today I can say I love this movie to death. This movie has a very unique style for its setting and it has this very interesting take on the classic novel Treasure Island. Now not everything about this film is great, I’m talking about the wannabe Genie but very freaking annoying B.E.N, but hey I’m not going to let this little pain in the ass character take away how amazing this movie is. This movie has a very underrated voice cast and the animation is just beyond amazing in the film. I also love the relationship dynamic between Jim Hawkins and John Silver as the filmmakers make these two characters relationship in the film very relatable. Silver kind of becomes a father figure to Jim and Jim kind of becomes this missing piece in Silver’s life and while the film doesn’t really touch on that detail much, it’s noticeable and we see how much both characters care for each other. Also the song “I’m Still Here” is a freaking awesome song that will hit you in the feelings. This film needs to get a live action remake because my god this film is so freaking great and I would want to see what Disney can do with this film as a live action remake. Just please replace B.E.N.

15. The Great Mouse Detective – This movie is a freaking fantastic movie. Now before I did research on this movie a couple years back I thought this was an original Disney concept but it was heavily based off the novel “Basil of Baker Street” but still Disney took this novel’s concept and raised the bar with it. I’m surprised people don’t talk much about this movie because this film is incredible and has so many great things about it. The story is amazing as it pretty much is a Sherlock Holmes story. The animation looks pretty great and I love the detail work that was done from the character models to even the setting of London. Also the characters are all amazing including the villain Ratigan, voiced by the legendary Vincent Price He is such an underrated Disney villain in my opinion. Honestly call me crazy but I would rank this movie even higher if some of the next few films to come never came out because I have so much love for this film.

14. Peter Pan – This movie as a kid was one of my favorite films of all time. I loved this movie so much. I love the animation, I love the musical scores, I love the story, I love the characters and I even love how iconic it has become, to the point where the characters are still featured heavily in the parks. As a child this was one of my go to Disney films to watch on the weekends and even today I can re-watch this movie and enjoy every second of it. I love Captain Hook and how silly he is. He can be threatening at times too but he is one of those silly Disney villains that you can’t seem to hate for any reason as he is such a loveable character. I just wish Disney would stop making live action films for Peter Pan. Hook doesn’t count as a Disney movie and I love that film but the 2003 live action film and the 2015’s Pan was either forgettable or just god awful. Don’t do this amazing movie dirty because it is such a classic film and doesn’t need a live action adaptation. Peter Pan as a whole is one of the best Disney films in the company’s history.

13. Big Hero 6 – To me, Big Hero 6 is Disney’s most underrated film ever. It won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature; it spawned two series on Disney Channel/Disney Plus, has so much love and praise from fans and is represented pretty well in the parks. So why is it so underrated? Because Frozen overshadows this film heavily. Big Hero 6 is one of Disney’s most amazing films, animation wise, story wise and character development wise. The villain is honestly mediocre but everything else about this film is hands down fantastic. I love Baymax so much. He is so adorable and seems like he makes a great best friend. I love the story as a whole and love how the film deals with the process of losing a loved one. Not many people really talk about that with this film but it’s done in a very great way. This film visually is also amazing and I feel like this is one of those animated films that will heavily get praised for its animation and its visuals.

12. Tarzan – This is kind of just a fun little fact but did you know that this Disney original film had a Broadway adaption back in 2006. That was a very weird way to start off this entry I know but I wanted to bring it up because I thought it would be fun to know in case you have that question in a trivia game. But hey remember the final film of the Disney Renaissance, I sure do. This film is honestly such a great film and I freaking love it so much. The animation is just perfection and the characters are all enjoyable. The film has a dark ending with how they kill Clayton but forget that let’s talk about the music because the soundtrack and score for this film is also perfection. Phil Collins did such a fabulous job with the soundtrack. My favorite Disney song “You’ll Be In My Heart” is such a beautiful way to tell this film’s story and honestly all the songs in the film pretty much tell the film’s story but You’ll Be in My Heart, I don’t know man that song just reaches out to me differently and I can see the entire film in this one song but also I feel the emotions of the song as well. Tarzan really ended the Renaissance era in the most perfect way possible.

11. Robin Hood – I don’t have much to say about the film because it’s honestly one of the most beautiful films ever created by Disney. The characters are all wonderful, the villain, Prince John, is such a ridiculous villain but you can’t hate the guy because he is so funny and at the same time could be threatening so automatically you love him so much. I love Robin Hood’s character and think he is such a great hero and could even be a role model to many children as his character might steal from the rich but he does it to help the poor. Take notes kids as you can learn a thing or two from watching Robin Hood. Is it me or does this movie give anyone else Wes Anderson vibes. Maybe it’s just me I don’t know but I have loved this film for a very long time, since I was pretty much a 2 year old. I don’t know where my love for Disney would be without Robin Hood.

10. The Little Mermaid – We have finally reached the Top 10 and what better way to start it off; let’s start it off with my favorite Disney princess that to this day I am in love with. The Little Mermaid is a fantastic film, no question about it. It began the Renaissance Era. It holds one of the most iconic Disney villains, Ursula, in the company’s history. It has two of the greatest Disney directors of Ron Clements and John Musker and of course the greatest Disney music producers/composers/writers, Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. It is beautifully animated and has such a beautiful story. It’s a pretty basic story now thinking about it but man does it work for this film and it takes off in the best way possible. The songs are incredible from Part of Your World to Under the Sea, the soundtrack is full of bops. You can’t talk about Disney films without bringing up one of its most iconic films ever and yes I am talking about this film. Did I mention how much I am in love with Ariel? As a child to even today I was in love with the color red and red heads and now I can see where this love came from. The Little Mermaid is a timeless classic that I love so much and I know many other people love so much.

9. Wreck it Ralph – I remember when the trailer for this movie came out and how excited I was to see the film. Wreck It Ralph has such a great story and powerful message that spoke to me and made me feel so emotional to be honest. But I also love that Disney pretty much made a video game movie and it had so many video game characters and Easter eggs and I just really want to say I love this movie so much. I feel like this is one of Disney strongest films within the last 15 years like this story had such amazing character development, it had an amazing twist villain even though you kind of had a feeling who the villain was and I love this story so much like it is fresh and is different for Disney. The story of the main character being the villain of a video game and wanting to feel like a hero because he wants to feel like somebody and not feel like a villain anymore. I love the musical score and animation in the film as well and Owl City’s “When Can I See You Again” is a freaking bop. Such a great movie in my opinion and needs more appreciation.

8. Lilo and Stitch – This little movie, this little cute Disney movie is freaking incredible. I saw this film 3 or 4 times in the theater, that’s how much I love it. Stitch is honestly one of my favorite Disney characters of all time. He is such an adorable character and he is also a badass at the same time. This movie had such an incredible story, the animation and character models were fantastic and I love how funny the film gets and when it is time to get serious the film tones down the comedy and gets us ready to shed some tears. I also love that instead of making original songs for the film Disney decided to uses songs that represent the culture of Hawaii and also use a couple of Elvis Presley songs. This film is so re-watchable like I can re-watch this film like a million times and not get tired of it. I feel like I can do that with most of the films in the top 10, maybe even the top 20, but this film was freaking incredible.

7. Hercules – I liked this film as a kid but as I grew older I have fallen more and more in love with this film. Like I have gained more respect for this film now than I did back then and I honestly just think that this is one of Disney’s most incredible films ever. I love Hades so much, like James Woods really outdid himself with voicing the role of Hades and making him such a loveable villain. I love all of the characters and think they are very interesting and enjoyable. I wish we got more from characters like Zeus or even most of the Gods but I understand why they weren’t in the film as much but they still were incredible characters. The animation in this film is fantastic and I love the designs for the monsters in the film. I love the music as well and the original song, “Go the Distance “is so freaking incredible and has such a beautiful message. I love this movie so much and wish it would had become a Broadway musical or even get a proper sequel but I’m happy it didn’t because it is perfect at being a solo movie.

6. Beauty and the Beast – I have grown to love this movie more and more over the years and like I really fell in love with this movie’s story and the animation, which by the way looks freaking incredible amazing to this day. Like the animation in this film looks so smooth. The music is also amazing like this is one of Disney’s best soundtracks ever. Songs like Be Our Guest, Beauty and the Beast and of course the incredible song….GASTON, oh my god these songs are fire. Speaking of Gaston; isn’t he dreamy, I mean isn’t he such an incredible villain that many people hate but at the same time love. I will not lie but I have a huge man crush on Gaston, I’m not sure why. The characters are all incredible and interesting and really make the story so enjoyable. This film is honestly one of Disney’s greatest films ever, like possibly even their greatest movie of all time. Plus let’s not forget it’s the only animated film from Disney to get nominated for Best Picture that is also not including the Pixar films that were also nominated for Best Picture (Up, Toy Story 3). But Beauty and the Beast is one of the most perfect animated films ever.

5. Mulan – If you know me then you know that I hated the live action remake for this film and wanted to blow my brains out because it disrespected the animated film and the Chinese culture. But I freaking love this movie so much. The animation, well I mean I have said this for almost all the films, but the animation is freaking sweet. I love the story and the direction for this film and how the film knows when to make a scene funny but also when to make a scene serious. The Burnt Village scene is honestly one of the most incredible and saddest scenes in Disney’s history. But the way they made a musical scene into this very serious/quiet scene with just using the animation and sad musical score in the background to tell what is going on in the scene. It is such an incredible scene and kind of puts a tear in my eye. Plus speaking about musical score, the music in this film is incredible from the musical score all the way to the original songs. “Reflection” is such a great song but enough with that I want to talk about one of the greatest songs ever aka “I’ll Make a Man out of You”. This song fucking kills and it is freaking incredible and is such a BOP! Okay I’m done geeking out over this amazing/fire song, but Mulan in general is such an incredible film and I love it so much.

4. Moana – I didn’t expect to rank this movie so high, I didn’t expect to love this movie so much and I fell in love with the film after the first viewing. I love everything about this film from its beautiful animation and visualizations to the incredible songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda. I love the chemistry between both Moana and Maui, like they really carried the movie on their backs and took off. This movie should have won Best Animated Feature in 2017. I know I mentioned it before but it just pisses me off that it didn’t win, like I’m still pissed off to this day. I also love that Disney decided to hide one of the greatest characters ever in the film. They didn’t show him in the trailer or market him anywhere and made him such a surprise. But Tamatoa is such a GOAT character and is so freaking incredible from his character design to his original song, “Shiny”. Once again I love this movie so much and really wish we can get a sequel one day. It’s not needed but I would love some more Moana.

3. The Emperor’s New Groove – I am shocked that I am ranking this so high but over the years I have fallen in love with this film more and more and I have watched this film so much, I feel like a million times to be honest. Like this is Disney’s most hilarious film ever. I love how the film will either talk to the audience or even break the 4th wall and I love the chemistry between all of the characters. While I do love Kuzko and his journey with Pacha, I’m really here for the dynamic duo, Yzma and Kronk. Their chemistry in this film is through the roof and they are hilarious. Like I don’t know if you can make this movie without Yzma and Kronk, especially Kronk. I wish Disney would make more films like this one because it was hilarious and it would be nice to see Disney make more comedic films rather than making musical films. I can re-watch this film everyday to be honest because it is that great.

2. Aladdin – I don’t need to say much here because this film is so iconic and loved by every Disney fan. The film has amazing animation, music, characters the story; everything is just great about this film in general. No not great what am I saying; everything about the film is perfect. I haven’t mentioned it yet but my favorite Disney character of all time is in this film. Yes I am talking about Iago. Just kidding it’s obviously The Genie and Robin William’s performance as The Genie is the most perfect performance in any animated film ever. I love this movie and everything about it. I can go on and on about this movie but I feel like I have talked so much about this film in my past lists and even in my Aladdin (2019) review and I feel like everyone knows I love this movie so much.

1. The Lion King – But then we have my favorite animated movie of all time; my favorite Disney movie of all time. And if you know me then you would know this was going to be number one just from seeing the introduction. Everything about this movie is perfection from the characters to the songs to the musical score to the villain to the animation to the color schemes in different scenes to the visuals to the story, honestly I can go on and on but this movie is freaking incredible and perfect. I grew up with this movie and probably watched it every single day in my childhood life. I couldn’t go a week without watching this film. I have a stuffed Simba since I was a baby and I would never let it go because I love this movie so much, that and it is my childhood toy that if I got rid of it I will cry probably. I don’t know where my love for Disney would be without this movie like this movie made me fall in love with Disney. This is the greatest Disney movie ever and I will fight you if you disagree with me or say it is trash. Most perfect Disney movie ever!
